Voorwoord
Dit is een niet-compleet overzicht van alle programma's die beschikbaar zijn voor uw Mageia-pc. U ziet hier niet alle software die beschikbaar is in de officiële Mageia pakketdepots (repositories).
- Om alle pakketten in de officiële Mageia pakketdepots te bekijken, gaat u naar http://madb.mageia.org, de Mageia Programma Databank. Dat is de online database met programma's en pakketten (zie Special Interest Group-SIG).
- U kunt ook zoeken met uw Mageia Software Manager, zie Programma's zoeken met MCC's Software Manager, en: Software installeren en verwijderen voor informatie over het installeren van pakketten uit de Mageia pakketdepots.
Als u binnen Mageia niet kunt vinden wat u nodig heeft
Hoe kunt u andere programma's benutten? Bijvoorbeeld: gebruik Gimp in plaats van Photoshop, Okular in plaats van Acrobat Reader, LibreOffice in plaats van MS Office.

Uw gewenste programma is mogelijk op een andere manier beschikbaar. Voor methoden zie manieren om programma's te installeren: U kunt universeel bruikbare pakketten in Appimage- of Flatpak-formaat vinden op de site van de softwareontwikkelaar. Verder kunt u binaire bestanden gebruiken, zelf programma's compileren, een .deb (Ubuntu/Debian) opnieuw opbouwen, of een andere distributie gebruiken met behulp van .rpm:
Als u een wens heeft voor nog een ander programma in de officiële pakketdepots, kunt u een pakketverzoek richten aan: Mageia Bugzilla. Overweeg ook deel te nemen aan team van Mageia packagers (zie Packagers Team Portal), om mee te helpen bij het uitbreiden en onderhouden van het officiële pakketdepot van Mageia.
