Using drakwizard to set up servers

What is Drakwizard

  • drakwizard is an extension to Mageia Control Centre that adds new categories to MCC for configuring servers.

drakwizard allows users to set up popular server applications such as Apache or ProFTP quickly with sane configuration.

Installing drakwizard

drakwizard can be installed either using Mageia Control Centre or with urpmi 

# urpmi drakwizard
To satisfy dependencies, the following packages are going to be installed:
  Package                        Version      Release       Arch    
(medium "Core Release")
  drakwizard                     3.7.5        1.mga1        noarch  
  drakwizard-base                3.7.5        1.mga1        noarch  
5.3MB of additional disk space will be used.
865KB of packages will be retrieved.
Proceed with the installation of the 2 packages? (Y/n) y

installing drakwizard-3.7.5-1.mga1.noarch.rpm drakwizard-base-3.7.5-1.mga1.noarch.rpm from /var/cache/urpmi/rpms

Running the Wizards

Once drakwizard is installed restart Mageia Control Centre, and observe the new Network Services and Sharing categories.
