Gigatux show only Mageia 2 which has been unsupported for years.
HostVirtual list only Mageia 1.
KVM VPS currently down for maintenance - suspect maybe closed.
librestickers has closed.
it2l is closed.
pc-fixer can find no mention of mageia or laptop sales on the website.
pc-fixer mailed me today that buying a system with Mageia pre-installed is still possible --marja 17:33, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
All of the above should be updated or removed IMHO. doktor5000 22:31, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

To sum up:
* Consulting: hupstream, no mention of mageia on their website
ennael confirmed they still offer Mageia, and she re-added the hupstream entry today --marja 17:33, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
- VPS providers: all of them only offer Mageia versions unsupported for years or no Mageia at all
- Hardware vendors: no mention of Mageia on
PC-fixer.be and ixsoft.Libre PC ok.- pc-fixer mailed me today that buying a system with Mageia pre-installed is still possible --marja 17:33, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
- ixsoft sells hardware with Linux pre-installed and sells Mageia5 DVDs, I cannot imagine that they wouldn't do the installing for you if you buy a system there and want Mageia on it --marja 17:33, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
- pc-fixer mailed me today that buying a system with Mageia pre-installed is still possible --marja 17:33, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
- Software vendors: all ok, no problem
- Goodies vendors: all former ones closed
- added a new Unix stickers vendor, who also sells Mageia stickers
IMHO we should remove obsolete vendors to keep only relevant ones.

@Garthhh: what placeholders do you refer to? _this_ here is the discussion page for https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Commercial_vendors
And please use signatures as mentioned above, otherwise later nobody knows who wrote what ...
Deletion of all no more relevant vendors
--yuusha (talk) 09:44, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
I have deleted all dead links and vendors which doesn't sell Mageia or Mageia related product any more. The page is now a draft. The council + board edit only is no more relevant, but I let it for now. This page needs improvement and a rewrite.

Thanks for your work to clean this page up, especially the dead links.
Did you contact the vendors which don't seem to sell Mageia or Mageia related products anymore, to make sure they really don't?

--yuusha (talk) 20:54, 29 October 2025 (UTC) No, I don't take time to contact the vendors. But I was very conservative with the deletion. I delete link only when I was almost certain that these websites doesn't have any activities related to Mageia or even related to Linux distributions. That's why I let the websites that seem to still have Mageia product.

--marja (talk) 10:48, 4 November 2025 (UTC) Thanks for the reply. The last note on the page is there for a reason, it happened before that a vendor was wrongly removed. Therefore I'll revert your changes, even if I think it was very good that you looked into this. The companies should be contacted and asked whether their entry on the page is still valid and, if not, asked whether it should be updated (and then how) or removed. If you don't receive a mail from me to our council and board about this today, then please send one yourself or ping me.
