- A rescan button always displayed is a good idea. No need to continually search for new drives, since the user would know if there is another drive.
- we should ensure that GPT works properly for creating partition tables, formating partitions, and changing parameters of formatted partitions. In other words, that GPT works completely, even on bios-based hardware. This wasn't the case for mga1 release. It would corrupt a partition if parameters were changed on a GPT partition table disk.
This may have been due to a similated MBR table on the GPT disk. However it is simple to detect a GPT disk.
- it would be nice to always show the partition table type. Even if the user doesn't plan to change it, it would be useful in supporting users with problems, particularly as GPT becomes more common, and for usb based drives.
