Detailed Description

Having a LiveCD with the XFCE Desktop would allow booting into a live desktop on systems with lower RAM. The GNOME and KDE desktops require a higher amount of RAM than a desktop such as XFCE.

Why it would be good for Mageia to include it

Currently there aren't any LiveCDs that are intended for low-RAM systems.

Also, apparently there is not much room on the current LiveCDs for additional software, so for example, this XFCE LiveCD could replace the GNOME LiveCD, and as a result there would be room for more software.

What could disrupt development of this new feature

Lack of interest would disrupt development entirely. There is some existing resentment toward creating another ISO on top of the current list of releases.
