Summary

Make Mageia 4 ready to use desktop remote control, so everyone (I mean people without IT skills) could easily help newcomers. So, these newcomers won't feel lost alone in front of an unknown OS. This idea comes from my own experience where some people give up using Mageia at the first "problem" because nobody is there at the right moment to explain.

Detailed Description

Put in the Mageia 4 menu a new item "Ask help to a friend".

This enter :

- Ask the friend IP number (it may be got by phone)

- load a remote desktop control (for example teamviewer because it is the more simple to configure)

- give hand to the helper.

Today there is KRDC and krfb, but I rarely succeeded to make them work.

Why it would be good for Mageia to include it

The goal is to reassure the newcomers for a test and avoid a quick give up at the first trouble. Don't underestimate the needed efforts to go from Windows to Linux when PC is only a tool and that you aren't really interested by the OS.

I know a very few Linux users but they all choose Ubuntu because :

- it is the more simple (at least in their mind)

- it is the one that have the largest community and help on the internet

So we have to offer something more about help. Between all the existing systems, help is the visible difference for newcomers.
