Now that [1] is released, we have done a serious part of the plan. The next one is two-fold:

  • thinking back on what we did in the past 9 months, sort of a postmortem, and discussing what we want to do/change/improve in the future (near and long);
  • shaking things up to get to new ideas that would fit or not the big plan above.

So there are two parts into this session:

  • one with topics we already know for sure we want investigated and acted upon;
  • one where we are in a real brainstorm mode, that is: focus on quantity, no criticism, open to unusual ideas, combining and improving on each other's ideas.

Topics to discuss

These are known points we want to nail down and are coordinated by someone alreay.

  • distribution
    • release mode, cycle, support time (ennael & misc, [thread])
    • list of media CD/DVD to be released
    • inclusion of rpm summary translations (cooperation with other distros) (obgr)

Ideas brainstorm

This is NOT for bug resolution, feature request, or improvement. Note that there is NO indication, implication, reason that topics discussed here could move into a real project or be part of Mageia. Unless they mature, get traction and get into a development state acceptable enough to be considered for discussion for inclusion.

We would need a dedicated solution for that, to help with it.
