Things to do before going to Marseille

  • configure switches, backup the switch configuration on svn
  • install Mageia 2 on the new rabbit server (do not forget watchdog (package, not in BIOS!), iDRAC, serial console on iDRAC)
  • install Mageia 2 on the new ecosse server (do not forget watchdog (package, not in BIOS!), iDRAC, serial console on iDRAC)
  • rsync the two disks that will be used in ARM nodes (will be done by rtp)
  • prepare self-test tools for sucuk
  • find two wattmeters to analyze BS
  • setup new server to replace rabbit
  • setup new server to replace ecosse
  • make a USB key to upgrade SSDs FW
  • check bios/iDRAC/consoleredirection configurations
  • check that gfxboot is removed (for console redirection)
  • check that /tmp is cleaned at reboot
  • check that boot is verbose
  • check that grub is waiting 5s
  • check that "boot to windows" is not in menu.lst
  • run backups for servers
  • buy ethernet cables: 4 red 2m, 2 yellow 1m
