From Mageia wiki
For dumpning (burning or writing) a Mageia .iso image on a USB stick (USB pen or flash drive), you should check this page:
Dump_Mageia_ISO_on_a_USB_flash_drive?
If the tools mentioned in that page didn't work for you, you can try one of the following:
- mandriva-seed, which you can download from here. Note that mandriva-seed.sh does NOT work on a Mageia 3 system.
- From Linux, download mandriva-seed.sh, then launch it from terminal:
sh mandriva-seed.sh
- From Windows XP, download mandriva-seed-windows.zip, extract it and double click the mandriva-seed.exe executable to launch it.
- From Linux, download mandriva-seed.sh, then launch it from terminal:
- For Microsoft Windows:
- Win32 Disk Imager, for recent versions of Windows. You will need to change to "all files" when you attempt to open the .iso since it only allows .img by default.
- Rufus.
- WinImage works fine on systems with restrictions, such as Microsoft Windows 7 Starter. You can use it, for free, up to 40 times.
