This page is a work in progress
Right now it will just outline the difficulties that faced the Artwork team between Mageia 1 and Mageia 2.
The ultimate goal is to provide a comprehensive timeline of events, that will allow us and others to learn from these mistakes. The point is not to place blame or point fingers, but to provide this information so that we can all learn from this experience.--max 19:19, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

  • For an extended period the artwork team was inactive.
  • The team leader could not devote the time necessary to lead the team and get things done.
  • After a while a deputy leader was instated to try and fill in the gaps.
  • That didn't work out too well either because he really didn't know what was going on and what needed to be done.
  • Eventually this deputy leader was elected the full team leader, and tried to push things to get done.
  • Trying to find a balance between getting the work done well and getting the team back to working as a team a few things fell through the cracks and some people got disgruntled.
  • Due to misunderstood goals, mismanaged time and a poor understanding of the requirements the work done on the installer screens and MCC icon was done over and over again. The result of this is that in both cases the final product is less than satisfactory.
