Description

Its purpose is to have "constructive opinions" (negative or positive) so that I can then edit the "work" and perhaps we can take advantage of it to "Mageia". Then "the creations" will be submitted to the graphic workshop atelier-discuss@

Here is the type of advice I need:
"negative opinion" = on a specific part
"positive opinion" = you can leave an opinion to say you like it.

Work in progress

Modify the animated logo of the mageia.org page, to make it bigger, it is now blurred is too small.

note:

I have a 4K screen, when I look at sites, I see some where they are pixelated, the images are too small, when I created the old animation I had a small screen. and there the animation I created on mageia.org and pixelated, I don't know what it looks like on a 1920 HD

Objective:

Increase the size of the animation, and put it with a white background.

You have 2 different versions: slow, fast, with a white background. (choose the one you want)

Adaptation for source code:

On a site to have a high resolution it is a question of showing the image in its small form. so here we have a 600x233px file. the trick is to use a code to tell him to display it at the old size: 193x75px (this is the size I have in my archives) and then the image will appear with an excellent resolution (it makes a vector effect, without any pixelization) (because it is not possible to leave the image to scale1)

Comments [V1 V2]

Antony I do think the faster (v2) speed is better.

I also [  :) ] think that the effect/meaning might be better if the animation was the other way around: the cauldron landing before the Mageia letters. I mean, Mageia releases in fact 'evolve' *from* the Cauldron.

Not to mention the aesthetics: It would present a smoother flow if the whole transition were to progress entirely from left to right (Cauldron starting first) - compared to now, where it starts not at the left edge ... flows to the right ... then goes back to the left edge for the Cauldron.

Basically, I think I was struck at the same time by both the flow appearance and also the logic for the Cauldron being the first element to be introduced.

codegazer I like this and I concur with Anthony's comments. As I was watching the animation I wondered: how would it look with the cauldron dropping in first on the left with dynamic bubbles frothing up and floating. Bubbles drift to the right bursting one-by-one and as they do so the Mageia letters appear and drop into place at the right. I also wondered if the bubbles could keep frothing and floating (but not dropping letters) after "Mageia" has settled on the right. Is there a way to loop the bubbles-above-the-cauldron animation continuously?

Antony You won't believe this! I was in the shower this morning, and I was thinking pretty much the exact same thing :) I was going to try and describe this (but that it might be a bit ambitious - at least for now) at the ML. But I was going through the wiki recent edits and saw yesterday's from Zalappy; noticed (looking at the FR version first) that Zalappy had added my comments, then I looked at the EN version and a huge smile came across my face to read what Codegazer had written. It is the logical conclusion, 100%. The only thing is - is it over-ambitious? Maybe for now, but it would be so good if something like this could be achieved at some point.

Dave Hodgins So I'd go with the second, since it's scaled version does display correctly. I also prefer the faster drop.

I also agree the the recommendation to change the order to be from left to right.

zalappy Bubbles later, at the moment I don't see how to put them in

zalappy Impossible to pass the bubbles to the right, it's too long to do (too many bubbles to do), and it won't go at all with the rhythm, good idea but not achievable

zalappy The images of the V5 are based on the same 600px image file, you see from far to near
