Working on pre-release ISOs

  • Choose which ISO you will test.
  • Please use rsync to get the ISO. The initial transfer will be faster as it is compressed during transfer and, when the ISO is updated, rsync will only download the changed parts of the ISO and not the whole thing. This is especially important if several test ISOs are built. It's not just your bandwidth it will save: think of the load on our test servers!
rsync -avHP <host>/<path_to_iso>/<iso> <local_path>
  • Report your results here and on bugzilla if needed.

How to read/fill those reports

The idea is to have a very easy to read page for reports.
So, using a color code is the simplest way. For each entry, you have to edit it to put it red or green, depending on the result of your test. If all is working as expected it's just great, otherwise, just add the number of your bug report in the case.

Example

Product 1 Product 2
Test 1 (1) (1)
Test 2 (1) (2)#42

(1): style="color:black;background-color:green;"|
(2): style="color:black;background-color:red;"| [http://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42 #42]
