SeaMonkey (aka IceApe) is an internet suite and the follower of Netscape's Navigator.
It includes a web browser, an email client, a news feed aggregator, an address book, an HTML editor, an IRC chat client.
It is a relatively lightweight program, yet full featured and up to date.
SeaMonkey, in Mageia, is offered as IceApe.
But, due to lack of packagers, the latest versions might not be available in the rpm repositories.
How to install the latest version of SeaMonkey (IceApe)
IceApe (SeaMonkey) might no longer be available in Mageia.
Users can download and run the latest version from the www.seamonkey-project.org website.
ATTENTION!
A backup of the profiles folder MUST be taken in advance.
Other precaution must also be taken due to major changes in the source code.

To run SeaMonkey,
... download the appropriate compressed file (tar.bz2);
... unpack it;
... and run the "seamonkey" executable file.

Example installation of SeaMonkey (IceApe) as root
+ First and most importunately, make BACKUPS, of the profiles of SeaMonkey and IceApe, of all users.
These profiles will, most likely, be overwritten, after the upgrade, and important data will be lost.
The profiles, usually can be found in...
/home/USERNAME/.mozilla/seamonkey
+ Enable javascripts in your browser.
+ Go to https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/ .
- choose your system; for example...
Linux x64
- choose your language; for example...
English (British)
- download the compressed .tar.bz2 file; for example...
seamonkey-2.53.2.en-GB.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2
+ As root, copy the compressed file in...
/opt/
+ As root, decompress the file.
- Now you must have a directory...
/opt/seamonkey/
- And the executable files must be in...
/opt/seamonkey/seamonkey
/opt/seamonkey/seamonkey-bin
+ Make links, of the above files, in the /usr/bin/ directory
/usr/bin/seamonkey
/usr/bin/seamonkey-bin
+ Open a terminal, and type " seamonkey " to run the program.

+ To uninstall SeaMonkey,
delete the directory...
