Detailed Description

A nice and handy tool do format and rename USB storage devices via filemanager (e.g. dolphin). You can also start quickformat via startmenue. Quickformat recognizes your current partition format and automatically selects it as default. You can change the partition format to Ext2/3/4, FAT32 or NTFS if you like.

Why it would be good for Mageia to include it

This tool is very handy to format external devices as USB Sticks, external HDD and memory cards. Until now it is necessary to start a partitional tool like gparted. The tool was introduced first in Pardus 2011. Unfortunately it seems the tool is not developed any longer and Pardus is dieing. As far I understood in the code (i´m not a programmer) there is a special Pardus related code (comar) in the source so maybe it needs a litte modification.
