A test day is a short period, usually about a day, dedicated to testing a particular package or suite.

They are similar to a developers sprint but instead of racing to code something we pool all our resources and test something instead. With many people testing one thing, be it in the run up to a new release or some large or important package such as the kernel, web browser or libreoffice, we are much more likely to find any obscure bugs.

Test days are a great tool for QA in the build up to a new Mageia release, with alpha testing and beta testing, as there is alot to be checked and we want to ensure we track down and report as many bugs as possible so they can be addressed before the final release.

Theme, process, help - everything will be listed on the test day page, so it's easy to get involved!

Even if you come along after the test day has finished, you can still do the checks and report anything you find on Bugzilla. Each bug found should be entered as a separate bug report.
