If all mirrors are red for hours, then Mageia has a problem.
Note it is OK if mirrors are red or orange for a few hours if there have been a pause in the flow of new stuff. - Because what the list really shows is time between from when mirrors was last updated, and time of something new on master. So if there have been a long pause and then something new emerges on master, all mirrors will turn red (meaning >48 hours since last update) or orange (12 to 48 hours) for some hours until they are updated. They do not update at the same or with same frequency, and some updates in turn from another mirror. That is perfectly OK.
If your preferred mirror is red and stay so for hours, while other mirrors are green, then you preferred mirror has a problem. There are two possibilities:
- The mirror it syncs from is red or orange for several hours
- If this doesn't get solved within reasonable time, then contact your preferred mirror and suggest they sync from a different mirror.
- The mirror it syncs from is green and yours is orange or red for several hours
- Then the problem originated in your preferred mirror, please contact the maintainers to make sure they are aware
