Detailed Description

Include the dm-thin-pool kernel module in netinstall iso and classic iso to allow for installation in thin provisioned LVM logical volumes.

Why it would be good for Mageia to include it

It would allow installing on thin provisioned LVM logical volumes.

Test case

Since the Mageia installer does not support (at present) the creation of LVM thin provisioned LVM logical volumes these would have to be manually created in the command line. The man page lvmthin is quite useful on learning how to do this. After manual creation, the Mageia installer should be able to select the thin provisioned volumes for installation.

Software / Packages Dependencies

What could disrupt development of this new feature

I don't see anything that could.

Contingency

Don't include the module, as it currently is.
